There’s recently been a bit of renewed speculation as to whether Matt Smith will be stepping down from the role of the eleventh incarnation of the titular character from Doctor Who. This, of course, is nothing new — it is a subject that is regularly discussed in the Whovian fan circles — but between Matt Smith possibly hinting at the end of his tenure and a storyline that strongly suggests an end-point, the possibility of a Twelfth Doctor is starting to look a bit more likely.
